In a study of livable cities conducted by the business magazine Forbes, Çanakkale was ranked as Turkey’s most livable city. The renowned business magazine Forbes ranked cities based on data regarding livability, innovation, business acumen, production potential, and access to services.

As the list of Turkey’s 20 best cities to live and work in was published, Çanakkale took the top spot. In its statement, Forbes noted that the surprise of the Ideal Cities study was that Çanakkale emerged as Turkey’s best city to live in. The magazine attributed this leap to the city’s performance in nearly all of the 60 data points related to quality of life, where it ranked within the top 25.  Thanks to the value added by the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, its unique natural beauty, clean air, and developing infrastructure, Çanakkale has become Turkey’s most attractive hub not only for living but also for real estate investment.
